these are some fliks from las thursdays live painting at the vagabond..it was alot of fun..my partner and i painted a little something for the party which was called "get low"..thats to everyone that came out and showed love..i appreciate it..and thanks to all that got me drinks..haha..i appreciate that too..after we finished the "get low" piece..we decided to go over it and pay some respect to miami grafiti legend..oiler who recently passed away..we thought it would be cool to honor his name by having his classic throwup being displayed for everyone in the club..i was happy to see many people recognize it..we even got a few claps for doing this..rip oiler..

south beach mannequins

south beach mannequins are too loose...since when do these things come with huge asses and double d fake boobs..i dont understand society sometimes...these mannequins remind me of 80 percent of the people out in this city..i love miami and all..but for some reason everyone here tries to fit into this supermodel/rockstar blueprint for a miami lifestyle...and it seems like if your not doin certain things..or being certain places..or even dressing a certain way..you are not "cool" or accepted..especially when it comes to females...and this is one of the reasons that our little sisters..daughters..neices..friends..are unhappy because they have an average body..but they have a great personality or plenty of smarts...society and modern media is the reason why young girls forget that they dont need huge fake boobs and an ass to get a nice dude..big ups to my confident women out there..the real ones..the ones that are true to themselves, and not "just another mannequin"....

this week i hd the pleasure of meeting and painting with big doves who came all the way down from the beautiful nyc..grab and tragek also painted with him but i have to get better pics of that before i post them..i had a great time painting that day..hes definitely one of the best style writers out there..very strong letters..and the fastest painters ive ever encountered..stay up big homie..

where the wild things are...i have finally completed the bottom portion of this huge work in progress..based off the childrens book..this piece will now extend up to the thigh area..lets do this!!!

back to painting

its about that time again where i have to put all other things to the side and concentrate on painting..this year ive decided to dedicate my time to portrait art..i will be grinding out some paintings over the next few months to display in my first solo exhibit at the end of the year..the show will consist of great musicians in hip hop..mostly people that i ve been listening to throughout my child hood and adult life..some of the portraits will include bob marley..biggie smalls..jayz and outkast just to name a few...i wont display all of the pieces here..but i will be giving my readers small prievews of some of the pieces as they go along..i hope to give everyone a great show...hopefully making the deadlines of art basel at the end of the year..for now..heres a small piece..heres a skate deck dedicated to nasir jones (nas)..enjoy

so i finally copped the new slaughter house album.one day late because im glad to say that i went to three stores and it was sold out at all the stores...it feels nice to actually buy an album. its been a while since i actually look forward to buying a cd..i must say that hip hop needed this album..royce joell budden and crooked definitely came nice on all the tracks..in my opinion some of the beats couldve been a little stronger..but overall its a dope album..definitely worth the purchase..go out and buy it!! support good hip hop..oh and crooked..holler at me to coverup that tattoo..haha..
