you know..i see alot of people come and go from this industry..but i see alot more people come in acting like they know what theyre doin..you know..ive been at this game for about 6 years now..(not alot of time)..but i have done my thing and paid and still am paying my share of dues...i took it upon myself to get a proper apprenticeship..gave my years to my mentor..(leo barros)(raymond grillo)and am now doin my own thing..but honestly it bothers me when i see new jacks pickin up a tattoo machines and frontin like theyre tattoo artists..openin shops when they dont know the first thing bout the tattoo culture..i see alot of cats acting like they know what theyre doin, but realistically all theyre doin is frontin like theyre miami ink..niggas watch a tv show and thats it. they assume theyre tattoo artist..miami has becom flooded with bullshit work that sucks beyond belief..for ALL YOU NEW JACKS...preserve the culture..learn ur history..do what u have to do to become a REAL tattoo artist..learn the tattoo morals..learn about machines..learn about what its like to do a proper tattoo...sad to say but most of u dont even know what good tools consist of..its exactly why miami is flooded with wack shops and only a handfull of good artists..which most of the time work from home..much props to all the good tattoo artists that i dont even have to mention..u just know who u are..u know i respect you..keep doin yor thing..keep the knowledge sacred..and keep the roots of tattooing true..
