new illustration

i have been trying to take some time off of tattooing so i can take care of more of my artwork..i finally got a chance to do a new illustration..this one is called sunday driver..it was really nice to finally get my hands on something a little different than tattooing...i finally got to go back to my illustration roots..i actually got to paint something i wanted to draw..so here it is..enjoy..the sunday driver

defend dade

i got to work on the new pitbull video "defend dade"...between me and a few of my homies we did some abstract work for the video...be on the look out for it..it was nice being on set..its always nice to see the amount of work that goes into music videos..watch out for a little cameo appearance from me and two crew mates..hopefully it makes the video..haha..anyways heres the pics..

the art district

my crew got invited to paint a wall in the art district recently..no real theme behind it..but we just saw the wall and did what we do..burners..check it out



i took a little stroll in the area and peeped some of the walls that got painted for art basel..i definitely need to start painting stuff like this..i really like these type of walls..graffiti has gotten to a level that is beyond belief..here are some of my favorites

my computer

my computer sounds like its gonna blow up...ive had it for a very long time and now...i need a new one....hopefully santa gives me a new computer this year..i would love this one..i saw thee commercial for it the other day and thought it was crazy..its amazing how technology has advanced..

my roomate..

so ive been kinda mad at my roomate(dog) lately...ive been trying to cage train him but hes a pain in the ass...hes torn up my furniture..when im not around hell pee all over the place..he likes to go in my room and hump my pillows..and the other day he decided it would be a great idea to roll around in his own shit...oh and by the way..hes sitting next to me farting as i write this..ross, this blog goes out to you.. i love you and i hate u at the very same time...heres a pic of him coming out of the shower

piece

ive been getting kinda bored with painting lately..i kinda feel like i have to change up my style already..due to the amount of work that tattooing has brought, i must admit that i have neglected my graffiti for a while now..i barely sketch anymore and honestly..i cant remember the last time i stepped up to a wall with something planned..on the upside..since im constantly drawing all day..my artistic ability has really improved throughout the years..my characters have gotten pretty good..i fifnished up with work early the other night..and decided t go paint a little something..here its is

raw miami mob

every so often i come out with a little apparel project..from coming out with my own shirts or just taking part in the designing of it..well, now heres a little sneak peek at the new shirt design i created along with my brother rekal (rekalfdc.wordpress.com) for our crew..the colors and size hasnt been set in stone yet but the shirts will be out very soon...it will be a very limited run so if you want one just let me know..they will be on sale as soon as i get them in..but like i said..this is just a draft..as soon as i get a final design i will post it..for now enjoy "raw miami mob"

wall of fame miami

As many of you may have noticed..the famous wall off of i95 got repainted about a week or 2 ago..this wall gets repainted every few years with a new mural by some of miamis top graffiti artist..thsi year, i got invited to paint on the wall..i did two characters next to some of my old friends pieces..it was a great time and alot of work...long nights but well worth it..im glad that my crew got represented properly this year by grab, rekal, pest and myself.. here are some of the pics from the wall..enjoy

sting sting

i got to do a really cool tattoo today..i dont know why..maybe cuz its out of the ordinary..but i got pretty amped to do this stingray on this dudes calve...after a little reference i got to work..i often get asked how i come up with my tattoos..i honestly dont know...i just draw as i go..so heres an example of my freehand tattoos..i usually go in with a marker and lay out the base..and the do a semi final outline with a pen..


and after i go in and start tattooing..i usually just do the shading thru reference or just off the head..

joel update

i worked on my good friend joel a few days ago..his sleeve is coming along very nice..i cant wait till next sitting to start connecting the top and bottom parts of his arm to start making it look like one whole sleeve.

on a personal note..a big thank you to you joel..thanks for the good talks..good advice..prayers..and and spiritual counseling that you have provided throughout the years homie..a friend like you doesnt come around very often..

heres a lil tattoo i did for all the breakdancers out there..i hate the pic i got..it has alot of glare and its really red..cant wait for this to heal up when its nice and light..

update

heres another update on some of the pieces ive been working on..first off is julissa..a very personal tattoo..she got these wings due to her successful recovery from a bad accident..definitely a blessed girl and she is thankful for life..


next up is my homie georgie..i finally got to finish this piece for the top of his full sleeve..i really like the way this came out..stay tuned for more pics of his whole arm


finally i started the first session on a guardian angel on one of miamis finest..police officer joar..if you see this tattoo and he stops you..tell him u know junk..maybe he wont give you a ticket lol..

it still needs one more pass on the shading..and i stil lhave to add the wings and highlights..cant wait to finish this one..

bboy fantum

my brother from another mother..mr fantum hit me up this week to get his wrists done..

ive already done alot of work on this dude..weve know each other for a very long time..now he is the leader of the raw meat breakdancing crew..amazing entertainers..u might have caught them performing on lincoln road from time to time..

fantum has a competition coming up that should be pretty good..if you can come chec it out..and if you have never been to an event like this..definitely come check it out..some of the best breakdancers are comin to compete from all over.

i had the pleasure of tatting my good friends from rhyders street wear once again..jayson and his son jonatahan.. a little fun fact..jonathan is the guy with the long hair everyone asks about on my myspace page..the one im tattooing..anyways jayson branded himself with the company name and his son got a piece dedicated to his mother..
