so heres my chance to let off a little steam on here..im sure many of you have seen the tv show ink master..let me start off by saying that these are MY opinions..no one elses..so with that being said..i watched the show recently and i wont lie..the show kinda got to me..first of all..i dont really think the host of the show should be a judge..at all..dave navarro isnt even a tattoo artist..i dont care how long youve been getting tattooed..if you think you know what its like to tattoo by getting tatted..your a fool....so his opinion on a tattoo competition shouldnt even matter..with that being said..i feel very strong about artistic competitions..all because realistically..they are all based on opinion..in this show for example..its kinda hard to say who will win and why.because at the end of the day..it will be based off judges OPINIONS..what the judges might like isnt necessarily what i may like..or what the next man would like..we all have our own tastes in work..immediately when i saw the show..i noticed that heir first challenge was to tattoo a dead pig in a freezer at 30 degrees..im sorry guys.but i dont have to do that to be considered an ink master..i kinda feel like this show isnt really based off tattooing..but more off making good tv..obviously thats what gets ratings..but..i just think that this makes tattooing kinda cheesy..i really hope this also isnt an open invitation for the everyday person that sees this show to think they know how to critique a tattoo just because they base everything off this show..leave it to the professionals and trust your artist...for everyone that reads this..all i want you to know is that this show.is all hollywood..its tv..and certain situations in the show are not handled the way most artist would handle certain things....one thing to expect is definitely good work..with the exception of one or two ppl on there..most of the artists are amazing and are all ink masters in their own way already..much respect to the competitors..and ill be cheering for my personal friend tommy helm from empire state tattoo in long island new york!!

im sorry that i have been neglecting the blog.i promise to try m hardest to keep you guys updated with the latest junkyard news..it been a little tough these days due to my schedule..ive been trying to find a healthy balance between work, rest, playing..staying active, and my girl..last weekend i had one of the best sundays ive had in a while..it was perfect..my day started out by waking up and heading straight to the beach for breakfast at pizza rustica..yea i know...pizza for breakfast..what can i say..sundays are the days to get messy..if you havent tried it.you should..after wards make sure to head to zekes for a couple beers..its where i spent my sunday afternoon with my girl enjoying some laughs and a very large selection of beers..and finally end the day by eating at one of my favorite restaurants..lost and found..a hole in the wall spot but their food is delicious..lost and found is in mid town not the beach..check these spots out!!
